The staff at this guesthouse went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They picked us up from the train station, took us to the rental car station, and even dropped off our baggage for us. They provided detailed information on local sites and gave us a ride to ensure we were on the right path. The hotel itself exceeded expectations with its traditional Japanese atmosphere and excellent facilities. The breakfast was amazing and the location was convenient with transportation provided.
Felt safe and secure, no complaints whatsoever.

We had an unforgettable stay at a charming, century-old house in Takayama. The warm hospitality of Tai and his family made us feel like part of their own. The home-cooked meals, especially the traditional New Year's food, were absolutely delicious. The cozy Japanese-style room and the view of snow-capped mountains added to the magical experience. Tai's offer to shuttle us around town made up for the location being a bit outside of Takayama. we highly recommend this unique and heartwarming guesthouse for a truly special stay.

the complimentary pick-up and drop-off service was the cherry on top.
The location was a little far from the city center, but the hosts made up for it with their transportation service. the bedding could have been more comfortable, but it didn't detract from our overall experience.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel just off the city center. The staff, especially Tai and his parents, were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the modern touches you need. I loved the option of choosing between a traditional or western breakfast, both of which were absolutely delicious. The attention to detail and the beautiful garden added to the overall charm of this hotel.
No negatives to mention, everything was perfect!

The location of the accommodation was perfect, as it was just a few minutes away from great eateries and spectacular views of the surrounding area's natural beauty. The delicious breakfast was a delight, and we especially enjoyed the western breakfast options. the stylish and beautiful decor of the room was breathtaking, with traditional furniture pieces and a serene ambiance.
Worst Aspect: Honestly, we cannot think of anything negative to say about our stay, as the entire experience was outstanding overall.

This hotel is a hidden gem just a short distance from the city center. The attentive staff made us feel like part of their family, providing complimentary rides whenever we needed. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, complete with a DVD player and projector screen for cozy movie nights. And the breakfast options, whether Japanese or American, were a delightful way to start the day.
Absolutely nothing to complain about!
